Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead CNO Developer with 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in technical leadership roles. You will lead the development and integration of Computer Network Operations (CNO) capabilities and solutions, managing teams that create advanced offensive and defensive cyber tools. This role requires expertise in low-level system programming, the ability to develop quick reaction capabilities, and leadership of exploit development and reverse engineering efforts across Windows and Linux platforms.
This position requires approximately 10% travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor CNO development teams in creating advanced cyber capabilities
- Architect and oversee development of quick reaction capabilities for emerging threats
- Guide teams in implementing secure coding practices for sensitive operations
- Lead cross-platform development efforts targeting Windows and Linux environments
- Oversee Win32 API development and low-level Windows system programming
- Direct implementation of IETF RFC compliant protocols and network standards
- Lead reverse engineering efforts of systems and source code for operational advantage
- Manage exploit development teams and binary analysis initiatives
- Coordinate with red team and defensive security operations
- Establish technical standards and best practices for CNO tool development
- Interface with stakeholders and provide technical leadership on complex projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 12+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in technical leadership
- Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and low-level system programming
- Deep understanding of Windows and Linux operating system internals
- Extensive experience with Win32 API development and Windows system programming
- Proven ability to implement IETF RFC compliant protocols and network standards
- Advanced reverse engineering and source code analysis capabilities
- Experience leading exploit development and vulnerability research teams
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices for sensitive applications
- Ability to develop and deploy quick reaction capabilities under tight timelines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience managing technical teams in high-security environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Kernel development experience on Windows and Linux platforms
- Advanced Assembly language programming and optimization
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware development
- Knowledge of cryptographic implementations and security protocols
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies
- Experience with exploitation frameworks and advanced persistent threat (APT) techniques
- Background in malware analysis and threat intelligence
- Advanced certifications (OSCP, OSCE, CISSP, SANS certifications)
- Experience with cloud security and modern attack vectors

Security Requirements
