Position Overview
Leads complex, multi-team efforts: accountable for scope/schedule/cost/quality; architects the operating cadence; manages risks/opportunities; aligns contract objectives with the technical baseline; plans and executes major reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR/ORR); forecasts funding and staffing; and partners with Contracts/Finance on CLINs, mods, and POP changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate contract and customer requirements into executable project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, and quality baselines
- Serve as the primary liaison to DoD contracting officers, finance teams, and senior leadership
- Forecast funding needs and staffing requirements, and translate them into actionable plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and audit requirements
- Lead the implementation of Agile/Scrum and other modern project management methodologies tailored for defense cyber projects
- Mentor junior PMs and project coordinators, providing guidance on career development and professional growth
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive project management experience in complex cyber or defense environments
- Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated success in managing multi‑million‑dollar programs with a track record of delivering on scope, schedule, and budget
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Prior exposure to contracting and finance functions within DoD or large federal agencies
- Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and other DoD regulations
- Experience leading multi‑site or geographically disparate teams
Security Requirements
This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret level or above.
