Overview

Talon Defense seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering efforts for defense and intelligence systems, working across a broad range of organizations and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and collaborate with a broad range of organizations and teams to accomplish systems engineering tasks
  • Perform systems engineering of DoD command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) systems
  • Analyze needs and derive system-level requirements
  • Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks and systems

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a lead systems engineer, including leading, managing, and collaborating with a broad range of organizations and teams to accomplish systems engineering tasks
  • 12+ years of experience in one or more of the following: systems engineering of DoD command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) systems; analyzing needs, deriving system-level requirements, and contributing to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks and systems; or microelectronics engineering, integrated circuit design, and integrated circuit reverse engineering
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Systems, and relevant technical certifications, may substitute for a portion of the twelve-year requirement

Preferred Qualifications

  • DAWIA Level III SPRDE certification (any specialty)
  • 6+ years of experience as a lead systems engineer, including leading, managing, and collaborating with a broad range of organizations and teams to accomplish systems engineering tasks
  • 15+ years of experience in one or more of the following: systems engineering of DoD command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) systems; analyzing needs, deriving system-level requirements, and contributing to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks and systems; or microelectronics engineering, integrated circuit design, and integrated circuit reverse engineering
  • A Master's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Systems, and relevant technical certifications, may substitute for a portion of the years of experience requirement

Compensation

$170,000 - $240,000 per year

Salary offered will depend on numerous qualifying factors such as clearance, degree and the years and depth of applicable experience.
